What I hope to do with Onward!SRQ in the upcoming year is first design a logo that is very easily identifiable and representative of the program. I would like to connect with some of the key groups in Sarasota and begin working with them, and I would like to start promoting the blog and Twitter. I hope to get more people on campus involved, so when schoolwork starts SRQ won't be interrupted.
I am also hoping to reconnect with some of the people who have been most helpful with developing SRQ, to let them know how it has grown, and to thank them for making it possible.
As of now, those are my plans for the future of Onward!SRQ, I hope that it will continue to grow and develop into the site I am planning for it to be.

A little bragging on Maria!
Wanted to share with you all this wonderful note we got about Maria's project! Great job, Maria!

Dear Rachel and Heather,
Just wanted you both to how how much everyone here at our center has appreciated the time and effort that Maria and her peers have put into this wonderful project. Maria has worked very hard and the product is a delightful and creative piece of art that we will enjoy for years to come. We can't wait to let our children see how the room has been transformed. Thank you for your part in facilitating this project and allowing Maria to share her talent and artistry with the children and staff of The Florida Center.

And the SRQ twitter
And before I forget, the Twitter account:
https://twitter.com/#!/OnwardSRQ
With Jessica's help, the twitter account is progressing quite nicely. It has 18 tweets already, and without any real promotion (trying to establish the sites before telling people to go visit them) it has three followers already. As things progress, both of these should hopefully have a nice, positive impact, and hopefully reach as many people as possible.

Onward!SRQ Blog
http://onwardsrq.wordpress.com/
Thats the blog I've been working on for the project. I know I've linked to it before, but I've made some significant layout changes, and I think this one is much more aesthetically pleasing, and keeps in with the modern, clean image I want the project to have. A new post is coming soon, I promise, I am just having trouble writing it to where it sounds intelligent, yet still accessible.

OnwardSRQ connections
While working on this project, I have connected with a lot of interesting people who have been very excited about this project, and have offered a lot of help. The first person I met was an old teacher of mine, Emily Hall. She works at the Mote Marine, and had a lot of very helpful advice as to how to work on the project, as well as how to acquire the information I needed. Later, I met with Elise Lipoff, who works for the Willis A. Smith construction company, the same one that has been doing all the construction work on campus, and in addition to giving me lots of advice on how to carry out this project, she has helped me make some very crucial contacts.
Unfortunately, it has been difficult getting many other people to respond to my emails. I think the fact that the project is still in its infancy, and that its summer and everybody is either busy or away from the office, I won't be getting many replies this summer. However, that gives me more time to build up the site, and hopefully have somethign really awesome to show them when I do get in contact with them.
