Onward!SRQ Catchup

in terms of web presence, Onward!SRQ now has a twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/onwardsrq
and a blog http://onwardsrq.wordpress.com/
The sites are currently very sparse, I'm working on editing out all the kinks and technical issues present, then the twitter will be updated daily, and the blog at least weekly, to twice a week, depending on how quickly I am able to gather the needed information.
Getting the information itself is kind of tricky, since this idea doubles as a community building exercise; I am seeking out groups that already have the information to help spread the knowledge they have in addition to getting more publicity for their sites, but especially during summer, people are hard to get in contact with.

I know its way past time but...

I'm finally uploading some of my art like we were supposed to, well, months ago >_<

Here were some of the early sketches for the MHI Brochure

Children First Mural Update 4

Over the past week I have been able to re-coat areas of the mural and successfully paint the bridge and the orange tree which I had been avoiding in the past. The tree is not finished yet but this is the progress so far. I am getting great responses from both the teachers and the children since their is a summer camp in session. Apparently the children have to line up along this wall on their way to lunch, and teachers have told me they see the children talking about the images they see on the wall and naming the fruit / vegetables which is just the reaction I wanted :) I have also been requested by one of the children that he believes the scene is beautiful but needs a rainbow. haha he has mentioned this twice now so I might be needing to add it. But it is awesome to see the children really interacting with the mural.

Mural

Hello!

Here are some of my sketches for the mural at the Florida Center! They have children with special needs and super cool clases!

I decided on an ocean scene with some snow...yes, I know its FL but I think the snow is kinda cool and soothing!
